Adapted from a Chinese drama, Family by Choice successfully attracted the attention of Korean drama lovers thanks to its heartwarming plot and a touch of interesting romance in it.
Broadly speaking, Family by Choice tells the story of three people who are not siblings, but have grown up together since childhood and love each other. They are Yoon Ju Won (Jung Chae Yeon), Kim San Ha (Hwang In Youp), and Kang Hae Jun (Bae Hyun Sung).
For 10 years, they lived together side by side like brother and sister. However, due to an unexpected situation, the three people eventually had to separate.
Kim San Ha went to the city center to continue his education while taking care of his family, while Kang Hae Jun ended up staying with his biological father.
It’s been 10 years since they lived apart. However, finally the three people were reunited with different situations and conditions than 10 years earlier.
One of the highlights is the new appearance of the character Kim San Ha (Hwang In Youp). After previously being a high school student, Kim San Ha has now transformed into a charismatic adult man.

In the early episodes of Family by Choice, actor Hwang In Youp appeared as a popular high school student, looking ‘cold’, but very responsible for his education. He also became a good eldest ‘big brother’ figure for both Yoon Ju Won and Kang Hae Jun.
After the plot moves forward to 10 years later, actor Hwang In Youp returns with a new appearance as Kim San Ha. No longer a high school student, now the adult Kim San Ha character has worked as a doctor.
If previously actor Hwang In Youp appeared with a teenage image, this time the 33-year-old man displays a charismatic aura with a more mature image.
