
Kim Moo Yeol, an actor who started his career through musical dramas, has been on the Korean screen and big screen since 2007. With his unquestionable acting skills, the actor is almost never absent from taking roles every year.

1. The Roundup: Punishment
Having premiered in theaters last April, The Roundup: Punishment became the fastest movie in 2024 to beat Exhuma’s record by breaking 11 million viewers.
Studded with top stars, the fourth series of The Outlaws (2017) continues the story of detective Seok Do (Ma Dong Seok) who collaborates with the Cyber Investigation Team to capture former mercenaries and the leader of the largest illegal organization in Korea named Bae Chang Ki (Kim Moo Yeol).
2. Sweet Home 3
For those of you who enjoy the Netflix series Sweet Home 2, you are certainly familiar with the character of Sergeant Kim Yeong Hu. Yup, the character played by Kim Moo Yeol returned in the third season which aired in July 2024.
Previously, Sergeant Kim had to fight against monsters in order to save his members who were trapped by Sang Wook’s (Lee Jin Uk) gang. Unfortunately, only Sergeant Kim managed to survive with the help of a blood transfusion from his partner before dying.
In the midst of a fierce battle between neohumans Hyun Su (Song Kang), Sang Wook, and Eun Hyeok (Lee Do Hyun), Sergeant Kim along with other soldiers brought the survivors out safely from the stadium.
3. No Way Out: The Roulette
Not long ago appearing in Sweet Home 3, Kim Moo Yeol returned to star in the drama titled No Way Out: The Roulette. The drama tells the story of the battle between the community in killing Kim Guk Ho (Yoo Jae Myung), a criminal who was recently released from prison after serving a 13-year sentence, and if successful they will get a reward of 20 billion Won.
Kim Moo Yeol himself plays Lee Sang Bong, Guk Ho’s lawyer who is ambitious to protect and defend his clients even if they are criminals because of his strong ambition to succeed.
No Way Out: The Roulette itself has been airing since the end of July.
4. Queen Woo
Released on Thursday, (8/29), Queen Woo is one of the most anticipated dramas because it features a series of famous Korean stars, from Ji Chang Wook to Jeon Jong Seo.
Carrying the historical action genre, the drama highlights the story of Queen Woo of the Goguryeo Dynasty who tries to protect her family and throne after the sudden death of her husband alias the king. Queen Woo must also find a replacement for the new king within 2024 hours, by marrying one of her late husband’s younger brothers.
Meanwhile, Kim Moo Yeol plays Eul Pa So, the prime minister of Goguryeo as well as the king’s military general who overcomes his weaknesses and rises in rank. With his political skills, Pa So becomes Queen Woo’s strongest ally to prevent the power struggle that will come his way.
