Due to this popularity, Hot Stove League will finally be remade into a Japanese version. This is quoted from Korean media Star News on Wednesday, (28/8), which reported that the drama’s production company, Studio S, and Japan’s NTT Docomo and Yoshimoto Kogyo JV have entered into an agreement and signed a cooperation agreement to produce a Japanese remake.
Ha Do Kwon and Cha Jeong Yeop who starred in the drama Hot Stove League also attended the event. They expressed happiness about the Japanese remake project and hoped it would be successful, considering the Korean version of the drama received a lot of attention.
Hot Stove League Synopsis
Carrying a sports theme, Hot Stove League tells the story of the hard work and struggle of a new general manager named Baek Seung Soo (Nam Goong Min), in resurrecting a professional baseball team called The Dreams from a slump for four seasons in last place.
Not alone, Seung Soo is also assisted by operations manager Lee Se Young (Park Eun Bin) to rise from adversity. Although they were initially opposed because of controversial leadership, Seung Soo and Se Young managed to bring back The Dreams into a shining baseball team.
