In 2024, Han Suk Kyu returned to greet fans with his latest drama Doubt. Unlike the previous drama, this time Han Suk Kyu will play a profiler as well as a single parent who must face a dilemma.
Jang Tae Soo (Han Suk Kyu) is a legendary profiler in South Korea who is highly respected. Not without reason, he became one of the first people to open the way to analyze the behavior of criminals in his country.
In addition to being respected, Jang Tae Soo is also highly trusted by the police.
Unlike his life as a profiler, at home he is a single parent raising his only daughter alone, Jang Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin). Jang Tae Soo often works on solving murder cases and raising his child at the same time.
One day, he is working on a case that makes his work as a profiler as well as the relationship with his son shaken. To protect his only child, Jang Tae Soo has a hard time finding the truth.
In addition to having a unique and unusual story, Doubt grabbed attention because this is Han Suk Kyu’ s drama on MBC after 29 years. His last drama on MBC was Hotel which was released in 1995.
Not to mention that this drama raises the profession of profiler, a new character for Han Suk Kyu and not a few viewers who can’t wait to see Han Suk Kyu as a profiler.
The drama will be directed by Song Yeon Ha, director of Hunted and written by Han A Young. Han A Young is one of the winners of the MBC Drama Script Contest which aired in 2021. The first two episodes will be 90 minutes long.
The production said that the time duration is to present an interesting story for fans. In addition, viewers will be presented with a unique closeness between father and son in the thriller genre.
