Son Sang Yeon is one of the young and talented actors from South Korea who has been pursuing the world of acting since 2016. He has starred in various popular films and drama series, ranging from Racket Boys (2021) to All of Us Are Dead (2022).

Officer Black Belt
After almost five years of vacuum from the big screen, who would have thought that Son Sang Yeon made a surprising appearance in the Netflix movie Officer Black Belt which premiered last Friday, (9/13).
Son Sang Yeon transforms into Lee Yang Ho, a figure who commits sexual abuse crimes against adult women. But after becoming a parolee, Yang Ho was detected again repeating his crimes by martial arts officer Lee Jung So (Kim Woo Bin) through an electronic anklet.
On the other hand, Son Sang Yeon’s appearance in the action comedy film managed to steal the audience’s attention. The reason is, the actor appears different with a more masculine style and his body is covered with tattoos to explore the character as a villain.
O’PENing 2024: Our Beautiful Summer
In addition to films, Son Sang Yeon also made a comeback with a short Korean drama titled Our Beautiful Summer which was released on Saturday, (9/14) and Sunday, (9/15). This latest drama from tvN is an O’PENing 2024 series project that presents two episodes.
Unlike his previous role as a villain, in Our Beautiful Summer the actor plays the character of one of the triplets named Na Da Woon.
He and his two brothers will fill each other’s company, face challenges, and take care of Choi Yeo Reum (Jang Gyu Ri) like their departed sister.
Son Sang Yeon’s image in this drama instantly turned into an innocent like a high school student. Her jenakan nature is also able to invite laughter from the audience.
