Throughout 2024, many popular Korean dramas continued into seasons two and three, from Sweet Home, Pachinko, Gyeongseong Creature, Squid Game to Hellbound.
Not only airing sequel versions, some dramas also produce spin-offs that present stories from the point of view of other characters in the previous drama. Like the following latest series of spin-off Korean drama titles that aired in October 2024.
Dongjae, The Good or The Bastard
For connoisseurs of the mystery thriller Korean drama Stranger (2017), you will be greeted with a spin-off version entitled Dongjae, The Good or The Bastard. In the original series, it tells the story of the collaboration between an emotionless prosecutor and a detective in uncovering murder and corruption.
Unlike the first and second seasons, the new drama highlights the life of prosecutor Seo Dong Jae who is again played by Lee Jun Hyuk. He is said to be struggling to restore his tarnished reputation after being caught in a corruption case in the past.
When he comes into conflict with Nam Wan Sung (Park Sung Woong), CEO of Lee Hong Construction in a murder case, Dong Jae is again faced with a moral battle between his intuition as a prosecutor who uncovers the truth or takes advantage of the situation for personal gain.
Meanwhile, you can watch Dongjae, The Good or The Bastard on Thursday, (10/10).
Spice Up Our Love
If in the No Gain No Love series Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun become the second lead couple, then in the spin-off drama titled Spice Up Our Love the two will return to acting as the main couple.
The storyline is still related to No Gain No Love. Where Nam Ja Yeon (Han Ji Hyun) who is an adult novel writer suddenly finds herself turning into Seo Yeon Seo, the main female character in her novel and getting involved in an unexpected romance with the main male character named Kang Ha Joon (Lee Sang Yi).
Suddenly this drama increased the audience’s anticipation for the chemistry and love journey presented by Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun in different stories. Spice Up Our Love can be watched since Thursday, (3/10).
